Neighborhood Liaison Program

Building a Relationship With the Community

In today’s world, people do not often think of calling the police unless they have an emergency. Holmdel Police want to change this attitude. Several years ago, we initiated a Neighborhood Liaison Officer Program. The goal is to give officers and residents the opportunity to meet in a more positive and productive way.

Each neighborhood is assigned an officer. The residents in that neighborhood can contact that officer for one-on-one assistance. There are benefits to all parties. By taking this approach, officers will have the opportunity to get more familiar with the residents in a particular area. The homeowners will also benefit by getting to know the officers more informally and having access to an open line of communication.

See the section list (PDF) showing the areas of Holmdel followed by a section number and a listing of each officer with the section assigned to them. If you would like further information about this program contact Sergeant Vincent Imperato, email  or call him at 732-946-9690 ext.1731.
