Administration
The Chief of Police has the authority and responsibility for the management, direction, and control of the operation and administration of the Department to ensure its proper function. The Police Captain is also assigned to the Office of the Chief of Police, and as the Department’s Executive Officer, in the absence of the Chief, carries out the responsibilities of the Chief of Police.

Office of Professional Standards
This Office of Professional Standards (OPS) central duty is to monitor the actions and behavior of Holmdel Police Department personnel and ensure compliance with the Department’s Rules & Regulations, Policies, Township ordinances and state and federal laws.

Training Bureau
The Training Bureau is supervised by the Administrative Sergeant and is responsible for the acquisition and delivery of training for all Department personnel. Training includes content delivered by Department instructors and external training resources.

Policy & Accreditation
The Policy & Accreditation team is comprised of the Chief of Police, Captain, Administrative Sergeant and subject matter experts from within the Department. The team collaborates to ensure the Department's policies meet all required laws, standards and regulations as required by various levels of government.
